In 1999 the Oregon Legislature created the Oregon Individual Development Account (IDA) Initiative.  This ongoing program helps hard-working Oregonians, living paycheck-to-paycheck, move into the middle class.  As part of the Initiative, the state offers a 75% IDA Tax Credit, which creates match funding for participants that successfully complete the program.

The Oregon IDA Tax Credit begins when you make a contribution to Neighborhood Partnerships, and Oregon 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.  Seventy-five percent of your contribution returns to you as a tax credit on your State of Oregon income tax return.
